PRIVACY POLICY
Last update: 23 Agosto 2022
We at BBChain are committed to safeguarding your privacy and protecting your data. This document aims to clarify what information we will collect from users of our websites – https://bbchain.network – and related services – and how we use this data.
To offer our services, through its website and its applications and systems, the equipment where they are installed or used, and the devices synchronized with them, BBChain collects various data and information, aiming, above all, to provide an even better experience for you. BBChain recognizes that your privacy is paramount, so we take every possible measure to protect it. In this sense, this Privacy Policy ('Policy') aims to inform you how we collect, use, share and store your information and personal data through our websites and respective services. This document forms an integral part of our website Terms of Use, which contains an overview of our products and services.
This Privacy Policy applies when you use our Services that involve online and offline data collection, including Personal Data that we collected through our various services and channels, including websites, applications, third-party social networks, Customer Service to the Consumer, and events. In addition, our users can choose, in some instances, the types of data we collect, use, and share, as described in this Privacy Policy.
You accept our Policy when you sign up for or take advantage of one of the above-mentioned services. This acceptance will occur when you affirmatively agree to use your data for each of the purposes described by us here. This action will indicate that you know and fully agree with how we will use your information and data. If you choose not to provide us with Personal Data or disagree with this Policy, please let us know your disagreement so we can clarify or improve it.
We have written this document in a simple and accessible way, with several examples of data collection and use cases. Thus, you can read and understand how we use your data to offer you a safe and comfortable experience in the use of the services that we offer you.

1. What are the sources of personal data?
The amount and type of information BBChain collect will vary depending on your use of our services. For example, we will collect different data if you visit our website. And to make these definitions and differences more accessible, we've segmented the collection of user data into four parts, so you can understand what precisely applies to you.
This Policy applies to Personal Data that we collect from or about you through the following sources:
BBChain Sites: Consumer, employee, and job seeker-facing sites operated by or for BBChain, including areas we use under our own domains/URLs and mini-sites that we maintain on third-party social networks such as LinkedIn (websites).
Ad interactions. Interactions with our advertisements (for example, if you interact with one or more of our advertisements on a third-party website, we may receive information about that interaction).
Events. BBChain collects Personal data in events that BBChain hosts and organizes, as well as events in which BBChain participates as a sponsor or exhibitor.
It is also worth mentioning that we store information about all contacts already made with our users, regardless of the type of user who made contact. This information includes content downloaded from our pages and interactions via e-mail, such as opens and clicks.
By clicking on the buttons for sharing content on social networks available on our pages, the user will publish the content through their profile on the selected network. BBChain does not have access to the login and password of users on these networks, nor will it publish content on behalf of the user without the user taking this action.
It is worth mentioning that we use all the data we collect to provide our services. Therefore, we treat all data and information about you as confidential. We will only use them for the purposes described and authorized by you, mainly so that you can fully use our services, always aiming to improve your user experience. In that sense, see in section 2 what applies to you.
1.2. What is the Legal Basis for data collection?
We use as a legal basis for data collection only forms authorized by law, but not limited to consent, legitimate interest, and the normal execution of signed contracts. When the legal basis for the collection is not consent, we will always observe current legislation and respect data subjects' individual rights and freedoms.
2.1. Website visitors
If you only access our websites, we will collect your browsing data. When you visit our website, a 'cookie' is inserted into your browser through the Google Analytics software to identify how often you return to our address.
'Cookies' are identifiers that we transfer to your browser or device. They allow us to recognize your browser or device and tell us how and when pages and features on our Services are visited and how many people access them.
We also use Cookies and browsing data such as URLs (Uniform Resource Locators) to collect information about the date and time of your visit and the solutions and information you searched for and viewed. Like most technology companies, we automatically gather this personal data and store it in log files whenever you visit our website or access your account on our network. In addition, we may use session cookies (which expire after you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain on your computer until you delete them) to provide a more personal and interactive experience on our website. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following the instructions in your Internet browser's help file. In addition, you can choose to limit, refuse or disable Cookies through your browser settings. However, when doing so, some areas of our website may not function properly, which may prevent you from benefiting from some of our features.
Again, this Privacy Policy does not cover the use of Cookies by third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy policies and practices. Please note that Cookies placed by third parties may continue to monitor your online activities even after you have left our Services.
2.2. BBChain leads
Suppose you interact with our materials and content. In that case, we will collect, in addition to your browsing data mentioned in the Visitors section, your visit data to our pages, and other information that you choose to share with us through your interactions with our forms, Landing Pages and e-mails, for example.
To offer content and materials of interest to you, it is often necessary to cross-reference the data we collect from you so that we can direct our marketing actions toward what you expect to receive from us. We guarantee that this crossing is not done in a discriminatory way, not injuring any of your rights or freedoms. In addition, you can, at any time, request a change of removal to change or remove such data processing permissions through our contact e-mail: contato@bbchain.com.br.
Considering all these points, some possibilities of using your data may occur. In this sense, we recommend that you read the examples below:
-
BBChain can use your e-mail to send the material or information requested by you when filling out the form. We can also use it to send Newsletters, always related to technology topics, BBChain products and services, events organized or sponsored by BBChain, and also to communicate the launch of new free materials or new products from BBChain and partners. However, the user can unsubscribe at any time;
-
BBChain employees may occasionally contact you via e-mail or telephone to conduct research or present products and services;
-

Your e-mail data, collected at our events, will be shared with our Marketing team to send you content and news about topics related to the event proposal. You can request changes to these preferences, at any time, through our contact e-mail: contato@bbchain.com.br.
3. Who does BBChain share your data with?
BBChain may co-operate with other companies in a wide range of activities, including providing online and offline locations, advertisers, sponsors, and business partners, as well as outreach tools and performance analytics. In this way, we reserve the right to share your information, including location, registration, and interest data, with the companies listed below, whenever possible, anonymously, to preserve your privacy as much as possible.
We do not rent, sell or transfer your data to anyone except the partner companies listed below. However, we may share your data in the cases mentioned below:
Advertisers: You may directly receive advertisements, content, and links displayed in a personalized way from BBChain, according to your interests and behavior on our channels, under our Products, or other services with which you interact. To this end, BBChain may share data with the targeted advertising platform, mainly unique identifiers, IP addresses, cookies, and other information collected from your browser, which can be used to measure the effectiveness of online advertising. Of course, you can always object to this advertising by contacting us through our contact e-mail: contato@bbchain.com.br.
Our Partners: We employ other companies to perform work on our behalf, and we need to share your data with them to provide products and services to you. For example, we use data hosting services to store our database. However, our Partners are only authorized to use personal data for the specific purposes they were contracted. Therefore, they will not use your data for purposes other than providing services in the contract.
Statistics: BBchain may use the stored data for statistical purposes (analytics). These data are grouped to provide a macro analysis of the scenario. Therefore, they do not seek to identify or make identifiable the holders of personal data but only to better understand our users to improve the provision of services and customize products more geared to their interests.
Social Media Profiles or Other Submissions: Registering for some BBChain Products allows you to register by logging into your Gmail account so that Google may share pieces of your Gmail account data with BBChain. In this sense, when you log in, check the publicly accessible personal data that is authorized by these platforms so that you can decide what you want to share or not. Of course, we do not control the policies and practices of any third-party website or service, so if you register using your profile on a social network, please be aware of this.
To safeguard and protect BBChain's rights: We reserve the right to access, read, preserve and disclose any data that we believe is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or a court order; or protect the rights, property, or safety of BBChain, our employees, our users or others.
4. International Data Transfer
BBChain transfers personal data collected in Brazil to countries in the European Union and the USA. This transfer occurs to BBChain Partners, who are processing personal data. These transfers only involve BBChain Partner companies that have demonstrated that they are in the process of complying or in compliance with GDPR and Brazilian industry data protection laws.
BBChain's headquarter is in Brazil, and the data we collect is governed by Brazilian law. Therefore, by accessing or using the BBChain Services or providing personal data to us, you consent to the processing and transfer of this data to Brazil and other countries mentioned above.
5. What are the rights of data subjects?
You can always choose not to disclose your data to us, but please keep in mind that some of this data may be necessary to register for our Products or use some of the features and products we offer. Regardless, you will always have rights regarding the privacy and protection of your data. We are also concerned that you have access to and knowledge of your rights regarding personal data.
Therefore, below we summarize all the rights you have under the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), the other Brazilian sectoral laws regarding data protection, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which are:
-
Right of access;
-
Right of rectification;
-
Right of exclusion;
-
Right of confirmation on the existence of treatment;
-
Right to request blocking or deletion;
-
Right to information of public or private entities;
-
Right to restrict processing;
-
Right to automated decision review;
-
Right to object to a treatment;
-
Right to an explanation of the logic behind the collection of your data;
-
Right to information about the possibility of not providing consent and about the consequences of denial;

In this sense, below is a brief explanation and examples of some of these rights:

Request access to your data. This right allows you to request and receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
-
Request for rectification of your data on BBChain. This right allows you to request the correction or rectification of your data at any time if you identify that some of them are incorrect.
-
Request to delete your data. This right allows you to ask us to delete your data from our system. All data collected will be deleted from our servers when you request it or when it is no longer necessary or relevant for us to offer you our services unless there is any other reason for its maintenance, such as a possible legal obligation to retain data or need of preservation of these for the protection of BBChain's rights. To change your personal information or delete it from our database, send an e-mail to <0>contato@bbchain.com.br</0>.
-
Right to object to data processing. When we rely on a legitimate interest (or that of a third party), and something about your particular situation makes you want to object to processing in this field, you believe this impacts your fundamental rights and freedoms. This right allows you to ask us to suspend the processing of your data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to establish the accuracy of the data; (b) when you need the data to be kept even if we no longer need it, as necessary, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or (c) if you have objected to the use of your data, in which case we need to verify that we have legitimate reasons to use it.
-
Restrict the processing of your data. This right allows you to ask us to suspend the processing of your data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to establish the accuracy of the data; (b) when you need us to keep the data even if we no longer need it, as necessary, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or (c) you have objected to the use of your data, but we need to verify that we have legitimate reasons to use it.
-
Right to withdraw consent at any time. You have the right to withdraw your consent; however, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products. And if that's the case, we'll let you know when it happens.
-
Right to review automated decisions. You also have the right to request the review of decisions made solely based on automated processing of your data that affect your interests.
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your data (or to exercise your other rights). This request is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to anyone who is not entitled to receive it. We may also contact you for more information regarding your request to expedite our response. We will deal with your legitimate requests within 5 (five) business days. However, if your request is particularly complex or you have made multiple requests, we will notify you and keep you updated on the progress of your request, should it take longer than specified in this item.
If you have questions about these issues and how to exercise your rights, don't hesitate to contact us via our contact e-mail: contato@bbchain.com.br.
6. How long will BBChain store the data?
We will keep your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it, including complying with any legal, contractual obligations, or requests from competent authorities.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm arising from unauthorized use or disclosure of your data, the purpose of processing your data, and whether we can achieve such purposes through other means, and applicable legal requirements.
If you use our products and services, BBChain will keep your information as long as you keep that account active. If you request cancellation, BBChain will delete your information within 60 days of account cancellation. If you are a BBChain lead, BBChain will store information regarding your interactions with us for 5 (five) years. Likewise, if you request the deletion of your data or your account, in this case, BBChain will keep the data for 72 (seventy-two hours) after you request deletion.
7. How Information Security works at BBChain
Your account is password protected for your privacy and security. If you access your account through a third-party website or service, you may have additional or different login protections through that website or service. You must prevent unauthorized third-party access to your account and personal data by selecting and protecting your password or other connection mechanisms and limiting access to your computer, device, and browser by logging out after accessing your account.
We strive to protect the privacy of your account and other personal data that we hold about you in our records, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee complete security. Unauthorized account entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors can compromise the security of your data at any time, so please help us maintain a safe environment for everyone. In addition to adopting good security practices concerning your account and your data, if you identify or become aware of something that compromises the security of your data, you can consult our FAQ here or contact us through the available service channels.
8. How to talk to BBChain's GDPR Committee
BBChain is the Controller and Processor of the personal data submitted to us by you under this Privacy Policy. In this sense, and seeking to comply with the laws with the highest standards of data protection in Brazil and the world, we decided to appoint a GDPR Committee, which will be the BBChain representative responsible for overseeing all matters related to this Privacy Policy and the topic of data protection.
If you believe that your personal information has been used in a way that is inconsistent with the Privacy Policy or your choices, or if you have any other questions, comments or suggestions relating to this Privacy Policy, you may contact our GDPR Committee at the following contact addresses:
E-mail: contato@bbchain.com.br
9. Changes to the Privacy Policy
As we are always looking to improve our services, BBChain may update this Privacy Policy. Therefore, we recommend periodically visiting this page to make you aware of the changes. In addition, if we make material changes that require you to re-consent, we will post that update and request re-consent from you.
